SnapMaster is a macOS window management utility developed by Smooth Mac. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains clearly what data SnapMaster collects — which is none.
Data Collection
SnapMaster collects no personal data whatsoever. The app does not collect, transmit, store, or share any information about you or your device.
- No analytics or telemetry
- No crash reports sent to external servers
- No usage statistics collected
- No identifiers (name, email, device ID) recorded
- No network requests made by the app
Accessibility Permission
SnapMaster requests macOS Accessibility permission solely to move and resize windows belonging to other applications. This is a standard macOS mechanism required by all window management apps (e.g., Magnet, Rectangle). This permission grants no access to the content of those windows, your files, or any personal information.
Local Storage
SnapMaster saves your preferences (snap sensitivity, excluded apps, hotkeys) locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.
Third-Party Services
SnapMaster uses no third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics services.
Children's Privacy
SnapMaster does not collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update the date above and post the revised policy at this URL. As long as SnapMaster collects no data, no meaningful changes are anticipated.
